An Asbestos Survey or Hazardous Materials Survey is a survey of buildings or other above ground structures for materials likely to be hazardous to health, either of construction workers or occupants, or to the environment. Waste Classification and VENM / ENM Assessment

Waste classification involves testing materials (normally soil) prior to landfill for a range of potential contaminants. Waste classification is required prior to the landfill receiving the waste. VENM / ENM testing is the process of assessing excavated soils for compliance with resource recovery orders that permit the materials to be reused rather than being land-filled.
